Our Yamaha Style, Grand Piano Upholstered Top Bench is an attractive and sturdy duet piano bench constructed of solid wood, which features a high quality vinyl upholstered top with wood trim. This bench is Black High Polish finish, and comes with square tapered legs, which have rubber bumpers on the bottom to protect your floor from damage.

The piano bench measures 14" (W) x 30" (L), and is 19" high, and features a full sized music storage compartment, measuring 2-3/8". All equipped with brass plated hinges and lid supports, assembly is quick and easy, with wrench included.

One of the selling points of this piano bench is its quality and attention to detail. Unlike most imported piano benches, this Empire piano bench's music compartment is routed in (meaning that it is inserted into a groove in the wooden frame), instead of stapled like you will find on most imported piano benches. This adds to the benches structural stability, and prolongs the life of the bench. Plus you can you safely store a good amount of sheet music in the compartment, without having to worry about the bottom falling out over time--which it will if it's stapled in, as they slowly work themselves loose.

What makes it a Yamaha style piano bench? The upholstered top design. Notice that the padded top is surrounded by a finished wood trim, instead of having the entire lid of the bench being padded. While having a design that compliments Yamaha pianos, that does not mean this bench won't look great in front of any piano. Many people in fact prefer the design of the finished wood trim, over having the entire top being upholstered.
